Kenan and Young Rock Headed Back to NBC for Another Round

“We’re thrilled to renew both of these shows for another season and can’t wait to see more from Dwayne, Kenan, and the incredibly talented casts and producing teams behind each of them.”

Young Rock follows the actor and wrestler’s fictionalized childhood through three increasingly large Rocks, played by Adrian Groulx, Bradley Constant, and Uli Latukefu, and implies Johnson will land himself in the White House one day. Network mate Kenan Thompson’s self-titled sitcom Kenan has also received a second-season order. Why not? “It has been a true joy to watch Dwayne Johnson and Kenan Thompson on NBC every week and see families connect with their relatable, entertaining, and heartwarming stories,” NBCUniversal Television and Streaming’s president of scripted programming Lisa Katz said Friday. Keep these shows on long enough, and we might eventually get to see Kenan scoring an invite to President Dwayne Johnson’s inauguration. There are no rules when it comes to network television anymore! Luckily, he has his brother Gary (Chris Redd) and father-in-law Rick (Don Johnson) to help out. Photo: Casey Durkin/NBC/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images

Great news for Dwayne Johnson’s (currently) fictional run for the presidency: NBC has renewed his autobiographical sitcom Young Rock for a second season, according to Variety. It’s 2021! Kenan, meanwhile, stars the Saturday Night Live cast member as a widowed father of two daughters Bridget and Aubrey (Dannah and Dani Lane) in Atlanta, struggling to balance single fatherhood with his job as the host of a morning show. Superstore Spinoff Bo & Cheyenne Reportedly Won’t Move Forward at NBC

“So, it will just have to live on in our hearts and on my hard drive.” Per Variety, Kyle is a Cleveland native. What a great idea. The show would have followed Cloud 9 floor supervisor Cheyenne Taylor Lee (Sakura), her husband Bo (Pemberton), and daughter Harmonica as they attempt to “balance their big dreams with the harsh realities of being a blue-collar family in America.” And they could have had Mateo and Dina stop by! Photo: NBC

You’re still sobbing from watching Superstore close up shop during its two-episode series finale last week. According to Cleveland.com, the series, based on Johnny Pemberton and Nichole Sakura’s daffy titular couple, won’t be moving forward at the network. “Unfortunately, yesterday NBC notified us that they’re not going forward with the Superstore spinoff,” Kyle told the site on Friday. Well, it’s like Kyle herself said of the Superstore finale: “I only cried twice, but who knows what’ll happen when I watch it again.”

The Amber Ruffin Show Will Air on NBC for Two Weeks

Amber Ruffin Makes a Compelling Case for White History Month

Tags: While there would be some logic to NBC’s making this a permanent thing, the network’s affiliates might balk at that, since Ruffin’s program hails from Peacock. Those local stations have been pushing back against NBC’s moves to blur the lines between network and streamer: Last year, for example, most refused to air a special 30 Rock reunion because it was designed to hype Peacock, and they also had a hand in derailing Peacock’s plan to stream The Tonight Show and Late Night before they aired on NBC. Photo: Peter Kramer/Peacock

Amber Ruffin’s Peacock show is headed to the Peacock network— at least for a couple weeks. NBC announced today it will broadcast episodes of Ruffin’s self-titled (and now WGA Award–nominated) late-night show on two upcoming Fridays (February 26 and March 5) at approximately 1:30 a.m., just hours after said episodes drop on the network’s streaming sibling, Peacock. Hopefully, this scheduling means NBC’s affiliates have learned to chill a little (and accept our streaming reality). This decision is probably less about adding content to NBC and more about giving The Amber Ruffin Show visibility beyond the relatively small Peacock universe (though NBC might bring in some extra ad revenue from the move). The move means Ruffin’s show will follow episodes of Late Night With Seth Meyers — where Ruffin continues to appear as a performer — and temporarily displace the regularly scheduled A Little Late With Lilly Singh. However, since Singh’s show airs reruns on Fridays (as does Late Night), the scheduling order of A Little Late originals won’t be impacted — and NBC gets some newish content for the time slot.

Jane Lynch Is Hosting a Weakest Link Revival for NBC

The show “is an iconic format that BBC Studios has distributed across the globe for the past two decades, capturing audiences and earning a place in pop culture history,” he said. The new take will also feature “a few modern twists,” per a press release announcing the series order. Weakest Link was one of several attempts to capitalize on the phenomenal success of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, the British hit that did equally well in the States. ABC has renewed the Jimmy Kimmel–hosted reboot for a second season following surprisingly strong ratings when the show settled into its regular Thursday night time slot. Photo: Jerod Harris/Getty Images

Get ready for early aughts nostalgia: NBC is resurrecting its 2001 game show The Weakest Link, Vulture has learned. Lynch, in addition to her day job as an actor on The Marvelous Mrs. Despite its short life span in the States, Weakest Link has continued to do well in many parts of the world for producer BBC Studios, per Matt Forde, the company’s managing director of international production and formats. Maisel and Space Force, has hosted NBC’s Hollywood Game Night since 2013. Lynch takes over for Anne Robinson, whose signature scolding style as host of the original British and American versions made her a star on both sides of the Atlantic. But how good is her British accent? The U.S. As with its earlier incarnation, Weakest Link will revolve around a group of contestants answering trivia questions and then turning on each other at the end of each round to vote out whomever they believe to be the weakest player. ABC at one point was airing Millionaire five nights a week, quickly stripping viewers of their enthusiasm for the format (at least in prime time). Tags: version arrived in April 2001 and was an instant hit, debuting with NBC’s best time slot numbers in five years and averaging roughly 13 million viewers during its first season (which, back then, was only good enough to rank in the top 35 shows of the season). A syndicated version of Weakest Link lasted about a year in the U.S. Jane Lynch is on board to host and executive produce the BBC Studios/Universal TV Alternative Studio revival, which has been given the green light to start production on a 13-episode order later this year. Weakest Link began life in the United Kingdom in the summer of 2000 and ran for a dozen years. As first reported by Buzzerblog, casting for the new Weakest Link is already underway. “Weakest Link became an instant fan-favorite when it first aired on our network, and we are excited to bring a fresh, new take to the timeless format,” NBC Entertainment reality and alternative group president Meredith Ahr said, adding Lynch’s “sharp wit and engaging personality will be the perfect match” for the reboot. It returned for a second season but its ratings quickly faded, in part because of game show fatigue among American audiences. “Our Los Angeles production arm is proud to partner with NBC to bring the fastest and fiercest game show on TV back to America.”

Ironically, NBC’s decision to bring back Weakest Link comes just weeks after ABC’s successful revival of Millionaire (which preceded Link by two years when both shows first arrived here).

NBCUniversal’s Streaming Service Is Called Peacock

Will Forte’s MacGruber TV Series Has Finally Found a Home

Tags: In terms of possibly drawing away viewers from the linear telecasts — the likely fear of affiliates — for at least a few years, the number of people with access to Peacock Premium, while not insignificant, will be small relative to the hundreds of millions of viewers with access to the free, over-the-air NBC telecasts of Meyers and Fallon. Welcome to Peacock, Jimmy! Still, local affiliates will very likely gripe because NBC is putting a key part of its offering on a digital platform before it airs on their stations. Starting in July, the two shows will stream on Peacock at 8 and 9 p.m. A rival network exec initially expressed surprise when a Vulture reporter informed him about it on Tuesday morning. “Whoa,” he said. But what will concern affiliates is the precedent it sets, and the signal it sends: The future of TV is streaming. While networks have experimented with previewing shows on digital or even airing reruns of shows that first ran on cable platforms before coming to NBC, this is a rare and possibly unprecedented case of two tentpole network shows shifting to streaming for their debut window. “It seems to me to be the right idea, but I don’t know if it’s the right shows,” the rival exec said, explaining that Tonight in particular is not the sort of topical, must-see-now type of broadcast that could benefit from essentially airing in primetime. Peacock will announce the decision this afternoon at an investor’s conference. That’s because NBC’s late-night shows get much of their linear viewing from audiences already watching NBC or linear television, and it seems unlikely those viewers will suddenly decide to seek out the programs on a paid streaming platform. “The [Nielsen ratings] are going to be what they are, even with this,” the rival exec predicted. “That’s … wow.” But despite being shocked, the exec didn’t think it would change the status quo in the late-night ratings race. ET respectively each weeknight, with the NBC broadcast network essentially airing a rerun of each show three-and-a-half hours later. “The numbers are gonna be the same,” he said, noting that it’s more likely the Peacock streaming strategy will bring new eyeballs to Tonight and Late Night rather than steal them from folks who currently watch on broadcast or cable. Indeed, affiliates “upset” over the NBC scheduling shuffle long ago lost the battle for true late-night exclusivity: Fallon and Meyers (as well as CBS’s Late Show with Stephen Colbert) all release advance segments on social media and YouTube before their West Coast broadcasts — and in some cases before their shows air on the East Coast, too. This could be one reason why Peacock says its so-called “late night early” feature will only be available as part of Peacock Premium, a special tier available for free to authenticated cable subscribers (starting at launch with Comcast and Cox customers, or roughly 24 million homes) and for $4.95 (or $9.95 without ads) to anyone else. Tonight and Late Night will not stream early on the free version of Peacock, which will contain ads and be available to all consumers. While NBC execs aren’t talking (yet) about their thinking behind the move, NBC’s affiliated TV stations, which pay substantial fees for the rights to NBC shows, will likely not love the idea of two important pieces of nightly programming being made available to streaming audiences first. Photo: NBC

In a dramatic shift to the long-established TV order, NBCUniversal will move the premiere telecasts of NBC flagship late-night stalwarts The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night With Seth Meyers to the company’s new streaming service Peacock. By contrast, the Meyers-hosted Late Night, whose first half is very headline-driven, might be a program that news junkies might enjoy seeing at an earlier hour.

The 2018 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony Was the Best I’ve Seen in Years

We learned about the cultural significance of the color white and the symbolic complexity of the snow tiger, and we saw how the choreography of dancers and drummers underlined the notion that all energy springs from the same source. Katie Couric and Mike Tirico’s color commentary (aided, of course, by the behind-the-scenes efforts of the filmmakers, technicians, and researchers) was marked by intelligence and restraint, and there was a section in the middle that turned into something like literary or visual art analysis applied to live news coverage. Related Stories

You Will Not Be Seeing This Ice-Dancing Team’s Too-Sexy Lift at the Olympics

Things really took a turn for the annoying during the 2000 Summer Games in Sydney, where the mandate was to alternate engrossing moments of competition between the world’s best athletes with up-close-and-personal montages that tried to boil their lives down to three or four factoids, of the sort you’d expect to see in the pilot of a fictional drama. Tirico, Couric, and their writers took American viewers to school in the best way, illuminating what we were seeing but not getting in the way of it. We learned about the origins of the yin-yang symbol and how it ended up on the South Korean flag, and how the idea of opposing forces being bound together in harmony has been built into Korean identity from the start. (I realize that a lot of people want this from U.S. There were moments when the taped broadcast even became a model of how to do this kind of after-the-fact presentation. (She’s from Colorado, she loves her mom, her brother has a rare blood disease, she became interested in skiing after watching a James Bond film, etc.) It was a logical if misguided attempt to make do with a billion-dollar investment that was increasingly being undermined by the internet, which delivered live results many hours before American broadcasters could air footage, but the result ended up condescending to the Olympics itself, by behaving as if one of the most innately thrilling and beautiful spectacles in the history of TV — a peaceful showdown between athletic avatars of the world’s nations — was actually boring, and desperately needed to be spiced up and made “relatable.” Alongside that trend, coverage of opening ceremonies has typically operated along the sliding scale of awkward to painful. I don’t know exactly what the sweet spot is here, but more often than not, NBC hit it. Supposedly, internal studies said that most viewers, but women especially, wouldn’t care about the Games unless they were presented as a soap opera about people overcoming adversity and coming to terms with their pasts; the sheer number of women who watch everything football-related as well as figure skating should’ve put the lie to that, but it has persisted. The patterns created onscreen by the arrangement of large numbers of performers, all moving in elaborate synchronized patterns, was amplified but never falsified by the camerawork, which stressed dynamic diagonal lines and circular or rippling motions. Brown that felt like the opening section of one of those drama pilots that thinks we won’t care about the characters unless a narrator, exciting and/or sentimental music, and aggressive editing are pushing our buttons. Eastern on Friday night. Commentators talked nonstop when silence would have been preferable, over-explained things that were self-evident while ignoring things that weren’t, and offered stereotypical observations about certain countries that might as well have been suggested by whoever was running the Department of Defense at the time. (If South Korea can swallow its animosity for five minutes, surely we can, too.) I learned a lot and was rarely irritated, bored, or mystified, which almost never happens when I watch these things. Hundreds and thousands, maybe millions of lives are at stake.” As if there were a possibility that the peninsula might perish in nuclear hellfire before the Zimbabwe team could make its entrance. The contrast between the mostly excellent coverage of the event itself and the grasping and manipulative advertisements that surrounded it — all invariably tying individual discipline and achievement to Americans’ ability to buy things — could not have been more distinct. Ever since the Los Angeles Summer Games of 1984, when John Williams’s Spielbergian orchestral theme was first introduced, there’s been a gradual move toward treating the Olympic Games as raw footage for shrink-wrapped melodrama. For the most part, the observations took their cues from the work itself, rather than trying to superimpose political or historical slants to flatter whatever preconceived notions American viewers might have. This wasn’t the platonic ideal of how to cover an event like this one, but it got a lot closer than anyone could’ve expected when they switched over to NBC at 8 p.m. coverage of the Games, but it always struck me as a tendency that’s contrary to their spirit.) But the rest of the coverage was mostly smart and judicious, save for a few moments early on where it seemed as if the old, bad NBC model would dominate, as when NBC Sports Asia analyst Joshua Cooper Ramo said, “Are these teams taking the first steps down a new and peaceful path, or is this the very last image of fellowship and hope before tragedy strikes the people of this peninsula? That’s rather remarkable, considering that the network has treated the Olympics as fodder for after-the-fact entertainment product for decades now. Related
10 Moments You Missed at the 2018 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony

Tags: During Friday night’s broadcast, there were moments that fell in line with the usual NBC Olympics mandate, such as the seven-minute montage narrated by Sterling K. Overseen by executive producer Yang Jung-woong and actor-producer Song Seung-whan (who handled the ceremony’s on-the-ground elements, including the choreography and fireworks patterning), this was an elegant and simple spectacle executed on a grand scale. It was must-see TV, apart from the historic value of seeing Kim Jong-un’s sister Kim Yo-jong, the first immediate member of North Korea’s ruling family to visit South Korea since 1953, and Vice-President Mike Pence petulantly refusing to stand for the country that his boss has been baiting for over a year now. Photo: Jamie Squire/Getty Images

NBC’s coverage of the Opening Ceremony of the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, was the least obnoxious opening-ceremony coverage I’ve seen in a very long time. And the coverage of the parade of international athletes once again put the United States in the foreground and shoved the rest of the world in the background.

Why Amazon Just Hired the NBC Exec Behind This Is Us to Replace Roy Price

What’s less clear is how Salke will change things on the film side of Amazon Studios. 1 network in overall audience this season. The Hollywood trades have speculated Amazon will try to extricate itself from that partnership with Allen. Almost all the names floated in news reports — including Fox co-chief Dana Walden and A&E head Nancy Dubuc — were women. Related
Amazon Isn’t Going to Buy Your Cute Little Rom-Com Anymore

Tags: NBC is now the clear-cut ratings leader in the advertiser-coveted demo of adults under 50, and with the Olympics and Super Bowl — along with hits such as This Is Us and Ellen’s Game of Games — it will supplant CBS as the No. Jen Salke. There’s been talk Amazon also wants to shift toward more populist fare on the movie side as well, particularly after it didn’t make much of a splash at Sundance this year. The company’s movie division has had a number of successes, including The Big Sick and last year’s Oscar-winning drama Manchester by the Sea. The two are close friends and have worked together since the 1990s, and their professional collaboration at NBC has led to the network to a remarkable resurgence compared to where it stood when Jeff Zucker departed at the start of the decade. Salke, like Price, is expected to oversee both TV and film output at Amazon. If that is, in fact, the new programming mandate, then Salke is a perfect choice. TV exec VP Tammy Golihew — to head up series publicity for the company’s original series. During her run at NBC, and before that 20th Century Fox TV and Spelling Entertainment, she’s had a hand in developing crowd-pleasers such as Modern Family, Glee, Dick Wolf’s Chicago series, Bones, Prison Break and, most recently, This Is Us. Salke is unlikely to turn Amazon Prime into a service solely about big franchises (such as a new take on The Lord of the Rings that’s now in the works) or broadcast-like crime procedurals. Photo: Vivien Killilea/Getty Images

Four months after its top creative exec was forced out in the wake of sexual-harassment allegations, Amazon Studios has found its new leader. Possible internal candidates to replace Salke include Pearlena Igbokwe (who runs NBC’s Universal TV studio arm) and Paul Telegdy (president of the alternative and reality group). For one thing, many of the aforementioned shows also got good reviews, particularly in their early seasons. Salke’s hiring follows a very public four-month search for Price’s replacement. She replaces Roy Price, who resigned in October after revelations surfaced he’d harassed a producer on The Man in the High Castle in 2015. Last week, Amazon Studios also hired one of the TV world’s top PR execs — former Warner Bros. During their hunt, Amazon brass made it clear via conversations with agents and leaks to media outlets that their goal was to fill Price’s job with a female executive. Price’s ouster was followed by the departures of several other key execs at the company and coincided with Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos signaling a strategy shift for the streamer: Rather than critically acclaimed “small” shows such as Transparent or One Mississippi, the company’s goal will be mass-appeal programming in the vein of Game of Thrones. In other words, Salke makes shows people (and not just TV critics) watch. As for NBC, it’s too soon to say how Peacock chief Bob Greenblatt will replace Salke. What’s more, Salke has also been a champion of plenty of critic-friendly shows at the Peacock, particularly when it comes to comedy: The Good Place, Superstore, Great News, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt all were developed under her watch (with Kimmy sold to Netflix after Salke’s bosses and the show’s producers realized it might work better at a streamer). But under Price, Amazon also made a high-profile deal with director Woody Allen. Instead, expect her to thread the needle and search for well-made shows which can stand out amid the Peak TV glut. Jen Salke, a broadcast TV veteran who’s served as NBC Entertainment president since July 2011, has been named head of Amazon Studios, the tech giant announced Friday. It would be simplistic to assume Salke is about to usher in an era of populist-only fare at Amazon, however.

I was excited!” Hey, at least they’re BFFs now. Poor twenty-something Andy Cohen. All he wanted to do was go on a blind date with the pre–silver fox Anderson Cooper, but he had to break Cooper’s “cardinal rule” before they even met in person — mentioning his mother, Gloria Vanderbilt. Sulk and imagine what these media princes could’ve been. “And I knew within 45 seconds I was never going on a date with Andy Cohen.” Cohen remembers it pretty much the same: “I wanted to date the Vanderbilt boy! We had a phone call to set up the date. Matt Lauer’s Ex-Wife Thinks It’s Unfathomable He Could Be Capable of Sexually Harassing Women

“He’s just a very giving person and charming and I think a lot of this stuff is obviously going to come to light, whether it’s true or not, and some of the things that are being stated may not be true,” she continued. “He’s been the best person that’s ever held that job and I couldn’t imagine that anything that he would have done — that would have been so out of character for him — that would have caused that reaction.”

Alspaugh, who was married to Lauer in the mid-’80s, also said a reporter approached her in front of her home a few weeks ago to warn of the impending bombshells against Lauer. “I was shocked because he’s been such a stalwart at that network and in that job,” Nancy Alspaugh, a television producer, told Entertainment Tonight. Megyn Kelly on Matt Lauer Today Show Firing: ‘This One Does Hit Close to Home’

"We start this morning with this news: Matt Lauer has been terminated from NBC News." pic.twitter.com/9g5Ou9r2K6— Megyn Kelly TODAY (@MegynTODAY) November 29, 2017

Megyn Kelly began her hour of Today this morning by reiterating the news that Matt Lauer had been fired by NBC after a report of sexual misconduct, expressing both her personal despair and her support for the women who came forward against him. I too have known Matt for a long time and he has been a friend and kind and supportive to me in my transition to NBC News, and I see the anguish on my colleagues’ faces,” Kelly said. “They all face challenges, they all stumble, but the good ones stay standing and forge forward fulfilling their core mission: journalism.”

Tags: “But when this happens, what we don’t see is the pain on the faces of those who found the courage to come forward, and it is a terrifying thing to do. The days to come will not be easy.”

Kelly, who previously worked at Fox News and came forward against Roger Ailes and Bill O’Reilly, said she believed that NBC would weather Lauer’s firing. “My experience is a news organization is bigger than any one person,” she said. I am thinking of those women this morning and hoping they are okay. We don’t see the career opportunities women lose because of sexual harassment or the intense stress it causes a woman dealing with it when she comes to work each day. “This one does hit close to home.

Little Big Town – Free (The Breaker Album)

[Verse 1]
Magnavox in the living room
CBS and NBC
Closed on 10 in the backyard
Hockey game in the street
Deck of cards in the kitchen
Cool breeze from our screen door
Grandma reading love letters Grandpa wrote her in the war

[Chorus]
Free
All those memories, free
Didn’t cost us anything
All the shiny cars, perfect yards, chasing store bought dreams
We worked so hard to have it all, when all the things we want are free

[Verse 2]
Got your accent from your home town
Sense of humor from your dad
Get your green eyes from your mother
God knows you can’t buy that
They’ll charge you for a six pack
But your friends are always there
A few extra bucks in the offer plate
Even though you can’t buy a prayer

[Chorus]
Free
All those memories, free
Didn’t cost us anything
All the shiny cars, perfect yards, chasing store bought dreams
We worked so hard to have it all, when all the things we want are free

[Chorus]
Free
All those memories, free
Didn’t cost us anything
All the shiny cars, perfect yards, chasing store bought dreams
We worked so hard to have it all, when all the things we want are free

[Outro]

Max Wonders – Grow Up letras

[Hook 1]
I don’t wanna grow up, no more
I don’t wanna blow up, no more
Got my adolescence on a necklace
I can’t let it go, I can’t let it, no
I can’t let it, no, no

[Verse 1]
What would my mama say
I ain’t been getting no sleep
Vices of being 18
Prices you pay
If you want your name on the screen
And flights getting paid for your team
Praise to the Lord
And screw all the powers that be
Cause they wanna throw away key
Keep us in cells
Then wonder why all of the peace
Is being disrupted in streets
But we raising hell
Lucifer scared of the teens
He seen ’em on NBC
CNN reasoning for all the children that bleed
The cop said that he tried to reach
Wish I was kid again
I wanna hang on the swings
Instead of hanging on the trees
Couple adrenaline rushes
Out racing all week
Shaking and move to the beat, yeah

[Hook 2]
I don’t wanna grow up, no more
I don’t wanna blow up, no more
Got my adolescence on a necklace
I can’t let it go, I can’t let it, no
I can’t let it, no, no (yeah)
X2

[Verse 2]
My Grandmother told me that I would great
See she died when I was ’bout 8
But she seen potential
So everything happening now
Was probably already fate
Don’t ask if I’m hungry
Boy, I already ate
We coming for more just to stock up the plate
Wasn’t satisfied with 2015
Baby, all I know is 2088
Jump off the roof
Into the pool
Your parents ain’t home
I’ll be over at 2
Or you could bring 2
Friends to my home
I might just have the juice
Least she tell me I do
She know I’m ’bout to blow
But I’m keeping my cool
That’s that humble approach
And she love what I do
Please don’t let that ego go to your head
If that’s what you’re on then you’re better off dead
It’s a revolution through the music
Every bar a desert eagle raised at your head
God I’m sorry if I’m heinous
I came a long way from pretending to be the red ranger
Now I’m channeling my anger
‘TIl I get that private plane inside the private hangar
Yeah

[Hook 3]
I don’t wanna grow up, no more
I don’t wanna blow up, no more
Got my adolescence on a necklace
I can’t let it go, I can’t let it, no
I can’t let it, no, no (yeah)

Childish Gambino – Higher Love

[Hook: Childish Gambino]
Baby girl, you know what I want
Let me do it to ya, do it to ya
Let me do ya like uh, uh, uh..

[Verse 1: Childish Gambino]
Hovy with glasses, Weezy but geeky
Girls in the lobby tryin’ to meet me
I ain’t afraid to say it, yeah I love these hoes
And their glasses, and their jacket, and their hipster clothes
Yes, I’m always on tour, what you mad at that for?
Slamming that thing like a Cadillac door
I love fast women, Jackie Joyner-Kersee
Have your cake and eat it, baby it’s your birthday
Tell me what you wanna do, I will make it happen
I just wanna get you home and uh, uh, uh, uh, oh
Yes, I’m drinking whiskey, baby I am gone tonight
NBC is not the only thing I’m coming on tonight
Gross, why the fuck I say these things?
It isn’t over, haven’t heard the chubby lady sing
Everybody love me, call a nigga Raymond
These weak niggas always in your face like Raybans
Yes, I bring the heat, girl, fire, fireman
Baby, I’m your hero, Donald for Spiderman
I’m in love with you, but this is not tennis
And baby stay stacked like she bad at Tetris
Rude boy, I Rihanna that vagina
Tell your boy, good luck tryin’ to find ya
[Hook: Childish Gambino]
Baby girl, you know what I want
Let me do it to ya, do it to ya
Let me do ya like uh, uh, uh..

[Verse 2: Joey Bada$$]
It all started with this special herb
Then after that it came to sexual words
I’m meeting shorty up to patch her a verse
She played Bonnie and I collide with a vibe when I’m inside the walls
I cut my shorties on the side cause I decide that she all
Mine’s, I keep her in my eyes at all times
Not because I don’t trust her I just, can’t get enough of her
On the phone late until her mom dukes be cussing her
She played the hustler and I’m like mad customers
Man swear I’m in love and ain’t afraid to admit it
Be blowing up her line, man I swear I’m addicted, but
It’s all cool cause when in love we all fools
They say men lie and women lay naked that’s all foolin’
Numbers don’t matter after the first night
Right, so what the fuck is love at the first sight
If you ask me, another stupid analogy
Made to cover flaws in the female anatomy
But I’m a keep gradually telling these bitches
Don’t front, (don’t front)

[Hook: Childish Gambino]
Baby girl, you know what I want
Let me do it to ya, do it to ya
Let me do ya like uh, uh, uh..

[Verse 3: Kanye West]
You the number one trophy wife
So it’s only right to live the trophy life
You grew up on J. Lo, Timberlands by Manolo now
Till one day I put an angel in your ultra sound
I wanna dip that ass in gold, I wanna dip that ass in gold
I made it over NBA, NFL players
So every time I score it’s like the Super Bowl
Baby, we should hit the south of France
So you could run around without them pants
I put that glacier on your little hand
Now that’s the only thing without a tan
My trophy on that Bound bike, I gave you only pipe
If people don’t hate then it won’t be right
You could look at Kylie, Kendall, Kourtney and Khloe
All your Mama ever made was trophies, right?

[Hook: Childish Gambino]
Baby girl, you know what I want
Let me do it to ya, do it to ya
Let me do ya like uh, uh, uh..
